Safe Disposal of Medications

Clean out your medicine cabinet and take unused medications, including narcotics, to SBL Prairie Medical Pharmacy for safe and legal disposal. The pharmacy is located inside Entrance A across from the Gift Shop.

As a last resort, following these steps for safe disposal of prescription medications:

  • Remove all personal identification from the bottles.            
  • Crush and mix unused drugs with an undesirable substance such as coffee grounds, table scraps or dirt.                    
  • Place this mixture in a sealed container and put it in your trash can on the day of pick-up.
