Six local artists were honored as the 2024 Effingham Art Guild winners at the 23rd annual Effingham Art Guild Art Exhibition, held during the Sarah Bush Lincoln Bonutti Clinic Effingham County Chamber Business After Hours event.
Effingham Art Guild members submitted pieces for six different categories, with one winner named for each:
- Floral: Barbara Brummer with her piece “Pink Hollycock”
- Animal: Melody Lewis with her piece “Cool Drink of Water”
- Living: Carrie Wente with her piece “The Dance”
- Collage: Stacey Zerrusen with her piece “Floating”
- Food: Tom David with his piece “Donuts”
- People: Cathy Ashbaugh with her piece “Dear Younger Me”
Sarah Bush Lincoln Orthopedic Surgeon Peter Bonutti, MD, expressed pride in hosting the event and praised the evening’s turnout. “Art is such an important part of life, and I’m honored to help local artists display their beautiful pieces of work,” Dr. Bonutti said. “We appreciate the Effingham Art Guild and the Effingham County Chamber joining us for a great evening.”
